OKINAWA INTERNATIONAL MOVIE FESTIVAL

The definition of film is expanded in the Okinawa International Movie Festival, and the possibility of wide visual expression through digital contents etc. is pursued. Moreover, various projects are executed with the aim to discover new talent in terms of movie directors of the next generation. Professionals and amateurs compete for their sense of commercial production in the “Short Film Commercial Competition” which was sponsored companies which approved “Laugh & Peace”. At the International NICONICO Film Festival”, participants compete for the amusement of the edit and the production by using picture materials that is free of copyright. This gives the possibility of a secondary creation image as a remix. Moreover, on “Yahoo!JAPAN Comedian Nonverbal Festival”, nonverbal works directed by the comedian of Yoshimoto Kogyo are featured. All of the short works using non-language pictures with “laugh” and “interesting” are planning to be released　on the Internet. Please fi nd a new way of enjoying pictures through these plans.
